Renting a Property

If you decide renting is the best option for you at this time, there are many ways to find the perfect house, condo, townhouse, apartment, etc. for you. Develop a budget to help determine how much you are willing to spend. Look in the areas you would like to live in. Take time to evaluate the variety of rental databases, realtors and property management companies.

The Arizona Department of Housing has partnered with Socialserve.com, a nationally known provider of database services for non-profit agencies. Socialserve provides a Web based, searchable database for affordable apartments across the state. The database includes the option to search by rent amount as well as other variables and is updated weekly with the latest vacancy information.

For information on project-based Section 8 rental assistance (multi-family), visit the Arizona Public Housing Authority.

ADOH invites assisted property owners to register their properties with this free service as well. Click here to download a property registration form with information on how to register an affordable apartment, or you may list your property via the online registration site.
