Homes to Owners (H2O) is a home ownership program that aims to connect people to green homes. In light of the economic and real estate downturn, H2O was established to reverse the impact of foreclosed homes and stabilize neighborhoods with environmentally-friendly homes. Foreclosed or abandoned homes in Buckeye, Goodyear, Tolleson, and El Mirage will be purchased and modernized by H2O. And by modernized, we mean GREEN! Homes will be rehabilitated to include energy conservation and accessibility features. They will then be sold to qualified buyers who meet certain requirements and who wish to settle west of the Valley of the Sun. Communities were chosen in each West Valley region because of their high rate of foreclosed or abandoned homes. This program gives potential homeowners the chance to purchase a sustainable home at an affordable price. Potential homeowners also have access to a range of real estate, finance, and self-sufficiency education services through H2O and our partners.
